He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the V.F.W. Dave served as a lector at Holy Rosary Church, Eucharistic Minister at Corpus Christi Church, and the Marian Home. He worked for several different IBEW Contractors until February of 1987, when he started Schott Electric Company which he owned and operated until 2010. Dave then attended and graduated from IBEW Electrical School where he later taught electrical apprentices for several years. Upon his return home he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Major in Rolfe on Augat St. On Jhe joined the United States Navy serving as an electrician until his honorable discharge on August 8, 1967. He was raised and educated in Rolfe and graduated in 1964, from Rolfe High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Kathleen (George) Schott, brothers, Steven and James Schott brother-in-law, Charles McDaniel nephew, Micheal McDaniel and niece, Melissa McDaniel.ĭavid Lane Schott was born Augin Fort Dodge. Masks are highly encouraged.ĭavid is survived by his wife Jackie Schott of Fort Dodge children, Stacey (Rick) Weinrich of Omaha, NE, Tami (Jason) Condon of Des Moines, and Jason (Stephanie) Schott of Williamsburg, IA 8 grandchildren sisters, Susan McDaniel of Goldfield, Carol (Leonard) Jahnke of Eagle Grove, sister-in-law, Teresa Schott of Fort Dodge 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, countless friends, and fishing “brothers”. A visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery with military rites provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the VFW Post 1856.
